The weather is a hobby of
mine. As a result I am often asked what the weather is
going to be doing, especially by neighbouring farmers
when they are looking to cut fields for hay or silage. I
therefore intend this page to contain some basic
information about the weather in and around Gwynfe for
the coming days. I will also include some expectations
for weather trends where any information becomes
available. Note
that every area has its own micro climate and Gwynfe is
no different in that, so what I say may not have much
relevance to outlying areas. Also, weather patterns are
constantly changing and so forecasts are not set in
stone. The closer we get to the day, the greater the
accuracy but no forecast is 100% accurate. I
occasionally use the terms "models" or "weather models"
(same thing). These are computer models, and their
outputs, based on the readings from various weather
stations and satellites and issued 4 times a day. They
will frequently change from one run to the next.
If I use any terminology that you don't understand, please look in the Glossary (button at top of page). If the term is not there, let me know and I will add an entry. I don't mind if you click on the Contact Me button, phone me, or even call in as you are passing but please let me know. If anyone has a need to know about the weather on a specific day and/or in a specific place (UK only), please drop me a note in the Contact Me section. I cannot guarantee including it but I will try.
Gwynfe Weather for the next few days, Service Suspended. I have recently had two new knees fitted and have been unable to sit at the computer for long enough to make a forecast. Nobody seems to have noticed and so this service will not re-start unless I get asked to do it. My weather station, however, remains live.
